Network Chiropractic Prohibited in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Chiropractic Examining Board announced that effective March 1, 1995, chiropractors in that state are "prohibited from using Network Chiropractic or any other system, protocol or analysis method which does not include the competent examination, assessment or diagnosis of patients prior to beginning treatment; which relies on diagnostic methods which are not generally accepted in the profession or supported by scientific validity; which represent that they are methods of attaining spiritual growth, comfort or well-being." The announcement was published in the March issue of the Wisconsin Regulatory Digest, a publication of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Examining Board.

Texas Chiro. Auxiliary Holds Art Exhibition

The Auxiliary of the Texas Chiropractic Association is sponsoring an art exhibition called "Range of Motion: 100 Years of Chiropractic" to be held at the Texas State Capitol lower rotunda May 8-12. Kay Martin, president of the auxiliary and an artist herself, is the exhibition's organizer along with local artists Joan Lawson and Linda Montignani. The work of artists from all of central Texas will be featured, and will be judged by Jessie Otto-Hite, director of the Huntington Art Gallery at the University of Texas, Austin. The show will be free and open to the public.

Pain Management Conference Scheduled for September

The Sixth Annual Conference of the American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM) will be held September 14-17, 1995 in Dallas, Texas. The AAPM expects at least 1,500 multidisciplinary professionals to attend, and will have a faculty of over 60 people covering the topics of diagnostic, intervention, and practice related principles of pain management.
